First Day Activities

Our first day was fantastic. We have 18 students in our class, 11 girls, and 7 boys. We started with a get to know one another activity. The boys and girls were great. We toured the school and met with the Principal. The principal, Mrs. Smith welcomed us warmly. We ate lunch together in the cafeteria, which was a lot of fun. At recess, all the 3rd graders went to the playground at the same time. That was fun because we were able to see our other friends not in our classroom. In the afternoon we watch a video from NASA, we saw the astronauts take a spacewalk. We went to P.E. today and played in the gym with hula-hoops. That was great fun. Everyone seemed to have a great day. Tomorrow, we will pass out our textbooks and start dabbling in the books.
